Bio

Megha Garg, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the 精东影业 of California, San Francisco, and the Associate Chief of Hospital Medicine at the San Francisco VA Medical Center.
Dr. Garg鈥檚 clinical work includes attending on the inpatient teaching service, surgical co-management, and the Faculty Hospitalist Service. She is affiliate faculty at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies at UCSF. Dr. Garg previously served as the UCSF Co-Director of the聽Consortium, focused on collaborative efforts between the two institutions on education, research, and clinical training and service.
She is an Associate Program Director of the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency Program and a member of the UCSF Academic of Medical Educators. She was previously the course director for a first-year UCSF School of Medicine course titled 鈥淗ealth, Society, and the Individual鈥 focused on social justice and health systems science content. Her scholarly work includes research on physician advocacy, social justice education, and care of socially complex patients.
Dr. Garg聽received her undergraduate and medical degrees at the 精东影业 of Miami through the Honors Program in Medicine, an accelerated BS/MD program. She also has a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, where she was a Zuckerman Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. After her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Alpert Medical School at Brown 精东影业, she joined the UCSF faculty in 2015.
