Bio

Ming Hsu Chen is a Professor of Law and Faculty-Director of the . She teaches courses in Constitutional Law, Legislation and Administrative Regulation, Citizenship, and Immigration. Professor Chen brings an interdisciplinary perspective to the study of race, immigration, and the administrative state. Her scholarship is聽published in leading law reviews and social science journals. She is author of聽Pursuing Citizenship in the Enforcement Era聽(Stanford 精东影业 Press 2020), on which she gave a TEDx Talk in 2020. She serves as Co-Editor for the Immigration Prof blog () and the executive committee for the AALS Immigration Section and the Law and Society Association鈥檚聽Citizenship and Migration Section.

Professor Chen was previously a professor of law, political science, and ethnic studies at the 精东影业 of Colorado Boulder where she founded the聽. She has served on the Colorado state advisory council to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.聽Prior to joining the legal academy, Professor Chen clerked for the Honorable James R. Browning on the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit in San Francisco and earned degrees from the 精东影业 of California Berkeley (Ph.D 2011), New York 精东影业 Law School (JD 2004), and Harvard College (AB 2000).
