Richard P. Davies is General Counsel and Chief AdministrativeÌýOfficer at RoC Skincare, one of the largest independent skincare companies worldwide. The company is headquartered in New York and held by Bridgepoint, a European private equity firm.
Previously, Mr. DaviesÌýwas Group Vice President, Ethics & Compliance at Natura &Co., publicly listed in New York andÌýSãoÌýPaolo and headquartered in London and São Paulo. Natura & Co. is the owner of Natura, Avon, The Body Shop, and Aesop brands. Mr. Davies led a team covering risks such as bribery and corruption, data privacy and protection, antitrust, and trade sanctions, as well as internal investigations worldwide.
Prior to joining Natura &Co, Mr. Davies served as Global Chief Compliance Officer at Avon, where he provided leadership during the 2014 settlement with the Department of Justice and Securities & Exchange Commission under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which included an independent monitor.ÌýMr. Davies led Avon’s cooperation with the monitorÌýand the self-monitoring period with the DOJ and SEC, which ended in 2018.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Davies held various senior corporate legal and compliance positions at Avon, including as lead counsel for M&A and corporate strategy and global restructurings. Mr. DaviesÌýwas previously a general corporate and securities lawyer at the New York offices of Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.
Mr. Davies has a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Brandeis ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ and a Juris Doctor from the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ of Southern California.
